gnushogi software package provides program to play shogi, the Japanese version of chess, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnushogi
gnushogi is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnushogi package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnushogi *
You will get with gnushogi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
